**Position Summary:**

The Courier is responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail, supplies, and food services throughout the school district. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the daily operations of the district by ensuring that all schools and administrative offices receive necessary materials and resources.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

- **Delivery Services:**

  - Transport mail, supplies, and food service items between district offices, schools, and other designated locations.

  - Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner, adhering to schedules and deadlines.

 

- **Inventory Management:**

 

  - Assist in tracking and managing inventory of freezer stock / food items

  - Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.

 

- **Documentation:**

  - Accurately record deliveries and pickups, including obtaining necessary signatures and maintaining delivery logs.

  - Complete all required paperwork for food service deliveries in compliance with health and safety regulations.

 

- **Communication:**

  - Communicate effectively with school staff, vendors, and district personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns.

  - Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, fostering a positive relationship with schools and the community.

 

- **Compliance and Safety:**

  - Follow all safety guidelines and regulations related to driving and transporting goods.

  - Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid Class E (Minimimum) driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Experience in delivery or courier services preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

 

**Physical Requirements:**

 

- Must be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to 100 lbs

- Ability to navigate various weather conditions and road environments.

 

**Working Conditions:**

 

- Primarily outdoors and in vehicle, with some indoor work at district offices and schools.

- May require working early mornings, evenings, or during school events as needed.
